AcknowledgementsThere are so many people whose love, support and friendship have made the “Sahara Spinal Challenge” possible and without whom I wouldn’t have got this project off the ground.
My amazing wife Shelley, son Ben and daughter Holly who have endured my absence while training and during my trip to the Sahara. I love you all so much and am so lucky that I have you all (and that you did not call in the divorce lawyers when I dropped my MDS entry into conversation). It will undoubtedly be my thoughts of you that will drag me through the desert and help me through my low points. To my farther and step mother for their continued support of me, despite their disapproval of my madness. I know you will be worrying! I would particularly like to thank my colleagues and good friends Darren and Jon who despite their packed schedules have continued to help me in every way they can. If I could harness Darren’s energy in his support for me I’d have no problem covering the 150 miles. To Will, Dale and all the team at Design Original for their fantastic designs and branding work and Jamie at Redsnapper Media for his wizardry on the web. Their combined skills have given me the professional edge I could not have achieved without their help. Thanks to my mother and Mike for their help with the PR, I know I only call when I want something! Finally, I must say a huge thank you to Spinal Research, it’s a pleasure to be involved with a charity so committed to such a good cause.
